A family company, still run by the family

S.Walmsley & Son started in 1988 with haulage and groundworks around Clitheroe. Nearly forty years on it's now the father-and-son business, working out of our own yard on Pendle Trading site, Chatburn, Clitheroe, BB7 4JY.

What's changed is the breadth. The digging work brought muck, the muck needed somewhere to go, and the yard turned that waste into clean, resalable stone and soil. Today the same team runs three trading divisions that feed each other.

You get the same phone answered by the same people whether you want a trench digging, a skip dropping, or a tonne of topsoil on the drive.

Constantly evolving to stock specialist materials and bespoke products when required to suit the customers needs.
